Women's World Day of Prayer

This year’s Women’s World Day of Prayer Service will beheld at Christchurch at 10.30am on Friday 2nd March and will be led by the Society of Friends (Quakers) and will be followed by refreshments.  All Welcome - Men, Women and Young People!

Christian Resources Exhibition

There will be a Christian Resources Exhibition at Sandown, Wednesday May 9th.  If you would like to join a group going by minibus please speak to Rev. Heather Cooper (512457)

Section Service

The next Section Service will be held at Christchurch, 4pm on Sunday 4th March.  The service  has been devised around the singing of a junior school choir ‘The Unicorn Choir’ from Thomas’s Fulham, who are visiting Christchurch on their way to Bath for a special tour.  The choir has sung at St John’s, Smith Square, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Dorset Gardens Methodist Church in Brighton and also for Magic FM radio.  The choir is to be conducted by Maria Marchant who has a distinguished record as a pianist including winning the Gold Medal in the Hindemith international Competition in Berlin . She is also a member of the BBC Symphony Chorus. There will be a chance to meet choir members after the service when refreshments will be provided.  (If you would be willing to provide a cake for the refreshments please speak to Brenda Smith as soon as possible)

Flower Plan

The Flower Plan for this year is available in the Vestibule.  If you would like to donate flowers to decorate the Chapel please enter your name on the Plan.  This is al lovely way to commemorate special dates. Flowers can be arranged by Pam Gordon if this is preferable.

Sunday Lunch Club

The next Sunday Lunch club is NEXT WEEK (12th) .Please book your place with Kate Trowbridge or Chrissy by 11am on the Friday 10th. Cost:: £7 per person for 2 Courses.  Future Lunch Club Dates 11th March, 15th April 13th May

Handing on the Torch - Lent 2012

Christianity continues to grow at an immense pace in Asia, Africa and Latin America. At the same time, Christianity in the West struggles to grow and even to survive. We will consider some of the reasons for this and what it might mean for individual Christians, for churches and for our Western culture. The Circuit Plans for December to February are now available in the Church Vestibule.

OUT ON LOAN!

There is now a record held in the Church Office when Church property is ‘out on loan’.  Please be sure to advise Chrissy in person, on the telephone or by email if you are borrowing any Church Property so that a record can be made and the whereabouts of items can be monitored. Thanks!

Sermons on the Web!

There are a number of Sermons available on the Web-site.  Sunday 3rd July was Susan's last Sunday as our Minister. You can listen to her last Morning Worship and sermon and to the Circuit Farewell Service in the evening by clicking here. You can also download them to listen to later on an iPod, MP3 player or computer Please have a listen and let us know what you think - particularly about sound quality and whether it is easy to use. The wonderful service to commission Peta as the new Malrborough Devotion Youth Worker is on the website for you to listen to or download.

Devizes Food Bank

There has been a growing demand on the Food Bank and more supplies are desperately needed for them to be able to meet the requests.  Please think about donating the 'free' one in a 'buy one get one free' offer or just buy an extra tin or packet now and again to donate - every little helps.  Current needs are always on the Weekly Church Notices or you can check out what is needed on the Food Bank Website.
